Yakvenalex [24]

Neurotransmitters can affect postsynaptic cells by causing molecular changes in the cells.

The term "chemical messengers of the body" is frequently used to describe neurotransmitters. The nervous system uses these molecules to send information between neurons or from neurons to muscles. A neurotransmitter influences a neuron in one of three ways: excitatory, inhibitory or modulatory.

When a stimulus is potent enough, the chemical messenger neurotransmitter is transferred into the nerve impulse. If it is powerful enough, it will reach the postsynaptic cell and affect the structure of the neuron. And when signal transduction happens, everything mentioned above is completed.

Explanation:

All the living organisms on this Earth are made up of microscopic units called cells. It is basic structural unit for all the organisms. The cells are the building block of all the living organisms. Our body is composed of trillion of cells. They carry out the functional activities of our life. A cell can be defined as a basic , structural and functional unit of life capable of independent existence. The cell was first discovered by Robert Hooke in 1665 AD. As we know that all the living organisms are made up of cells. These cells are developed as a result of a division of pre-existing cells. All the cells are same in chemical composition and metabolic processes. The function of an organism as a whole is the outcome of combined activities and interactions of the constituent cells. The cell is known as the fundamental , structural and functional unit of life.

Brilliant_brown [7]

Answer:

d. Tryptophan would bind to the repressor

Explanation:

However, the repressor would not be able to bind to the operator and switch off transcription. The cell would still be making tryptophan even though it is being supplied by the medium in which it is growing. This is a waste of energy.
