Steve Jobs was the founder of Macintosh, now known as Apple. He worked to turn his ideas into reality, and he eventually developed some of the most useful and widely-known technology. Today, millions of people own an Apple device and it can be used to communicate all over the world. In addition, a reliable computer can be used for all sorts of things. One including: easily-accessible research (very convenient, since many people before needed access to a library in order to find information.) I believe that this is a major contribution to society since it has made research extremely accessible.

Cost of a short-term bank loan) Jimmy Hale is the owner and operator of the grain elevator in Brownfield, Texas, where he has
zheka24 [161]

Answer:

a)

The rate of interest qouted = 1% + 7% = 8%

The annual interest expenses = $220,000*8%= $17,600.

Mr Hale has to increase the amount of bank balance with bank from $4,000 currently to $44,000 (20% of $220,000). The net amount of money he would recieve= $220,000 -($44,000 - $4,000) = $180,000.

Therefore the net cost of borrowing = ($17,600/$180,000)*100= 9.78%.

b)

if the interest rate is lowered to 7%, then annual interest expenses = $220,000*7%= $15,400.

The net annual cost of borrowing= ($15,400/$180,000)*100= 0.0855555 Or 8.55%.

Since interest rates has fallen, he can accept the project.

The risk-free rate of return is 2,2 percent, the expected market return is 11 percent, and the beta for solstice, inc. is 1.12.
hichkok12 [17]

A unique approach known as the capital asset pricing model or CAPM is employed in finance to determine the correlation between the risk of investing in a particular share and expected dividends. The expected returns for security are calculated using the CAPM model.

CAPM model

Required rate of return = Risk-free return + Beta (Market return - Risk-free return)

Required rate of return = 2.2% + 1.12 (11% - 2.2%)

Required rate of return = 12.05%

Hence, the correct option is D (12.05%).

The risk-free rate is the rate of return offered by an investment that carries zero risk. Every investment asset carries some level of risk, however small, so the risk-free rate is.
