That's situational irony because what you expected to happen is the opposite of what actually happened.
<span>If the boy was the narrator you would be able to see everything what the by felt thought you would see a lot more and you would be able to understand his reason a little better then reading the story like it is, in third person talking. Hope it helps. </span>
