P + o = 40                    (where p = peak and o= off-peak)
30p + 12o = 876
This can be done using elimination or substitution.
I will do elimination.

Multiply the first equation by -12. This will 'eliminate' the variable o.
-12p -12o = - 480
30p + 12o = 876

Now add the two equations together.
18p = 396
Divide both sides by 18
p = 22
40 - 22 = 18
Peak hrs. = 22
Off-Peak = 18
CHECK 22(30) + 18(12) = $876

∆ABC ~ ∆DEF. If ∠A=35° and ∠E=55°, what is the measure of ∠C?
madam [21]

Answer:

90°

Step-by-step explanation:

ABC ~ DEF so that means E = B.  A triangle has to add up to 180° so that means 180-35-55=90

A bottle full of liquid has a total mass of 1.27kg.
Vinvika [58]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let “x” be the weight of the bottle and “y” is weight of honey.

We know the total weight of bottle full of honey is 1000 g.

So Equation 1 is x + y = 1000 g

And with half of the honey, we know the total weight is 600g.

Equation 2: x + (y/2) = 600 g

y/2=600 - x

y= 2 (600 - x)

y= 1200 - 2x

We can replace “y” with 1200 - 2x in Equation 1:

x + 1200 - 2x = 1000

x = 200 g

Weight of the bottle is 200 g.
