The instructions of the cell to perform its function are provided by the DNA which is the genetic material of the organisms.
The DNA is packaged into a highly condensed structure called chromosomes which contain the genes on its structure which provides the code. These chromosomes are located in a double membrane structure called nucleus which protects the genetic material from the acidic environment of the cell.
