When an antibiotic is given for a non- resistant bacteria it inactivates or kills the bacteria however some microbes do not die and survive and multiply and pass the infection to other people making the bacteria antibiotic resistant.

Explanation:

The antibiotic resistant bacteria are those that are able to resist the effect of antibiotic and renders them ineffective that was once able to kill or inactivate bacteria.

While antibiotic non-resistant bacteria are those that are not able to resist the effect of antibody.

The reason some non-resistant bacteria becomes resistant is that a mutation in the nonresistant bacteria may occur or continuous exposure of the antibiotic would make it resistant to it.

Every time an antibiotic is taken for some bacterial infection it kills the bacteria but some that survive become resistant and grow in numbers and get transfer to other people causing them to be antibiotic resistance. The infection transfer to other people would not be treated by once used antibiotic as the microbe has become resistant.

During the cell replication due to some mutation caused they get resistant to antibiotic by a process called selective  pressure.

Which statements about the cycle of weathering, erosion, and deposition are true? Check all that apply.
kompoz [17]

The correct statements are-

Erosion occurs even when the mountains are forming. Erosion is the movement of sediments from the broken rocks through the agents like gravity, wind, water and others. It is a constant process occurring even while the mountains are forming. It is affected by gravity.

When new mountains or plateaus form, the cycle starts over. Weathering is the breakdown of rocks by the weathering agents. These sediments move due to the process of erosion. A new sediment may be dropped nearby or in a new place by the process of deposition. Weathering, erosion and deposition occur together as a cycle and have almost leveled the land surface.

Weathering, erosion and deposition have almost leveled earth’s surface. These three processes occur as a cycle and have almost leveled the land surface.

Answer: The taproot

Explanation: A deep taproot helps plants use moisture held in deeper soil layers, and they can have great drought resistance compared to fibrous-rooted plants. An example is honey mesquite (Prosopis juliflora), which is known to send its roots down 150 feet to get water.
