A is the correct answer because this was the greatest problem for the soldiers as they were lacking provisions, weapons, clothes... Even general Washington in his letters was constantly stressing out certain shortages, especially when they were located in Valley Forge.

B is not correct as army had experienced generals such as Putnam, Greene, Washington who made a lot of good decisions.

C is not correct as the colonists of course had better understanding the territory where they were living since they were born.

D is not correct as France made alliance with Americans, not British army.

It deteriorated their quality of life as they were treated as lesser than and used as labor workers. It also put them at the bottom of the social class and they (Africans) were constantly looked down upon and only viewed as slaves and labor workers.

The south was the side that had the cotton, so B is the only one that makes sense.  A is wrong because the north was manufacturing.  C and D don't make sense for the same reason.  I think it is B.
