Answer:

$52,238.26

Explanation:

Since he is going to withdraw annually starting today over the next four years, the formula to use to calculate how much to withdraw a year is the formula for annuity due.

Basically, annuity refers to financial investment that pays investors a fixed stream of amount for a specified period. It of two types: ordinary annuity that pays at the end of the period, and annuity due that pays at beginning of the period.

Since our focus here is annuity due, we employ the following annuity due formula:

PV = P × [{1 - [1 ÷ (1+r)]^n} ÷ r] × (1+r)  ....................................... (1)

Where

A

PV = Present value of an annuity due = $200,000

P = yearly withdrawal  = ?

r = interest rate  = 3% = 0.03

n = number of years = 4

Therefore, we have:

200,000 = P × [{1 - [1 ÷ (1+0.03)]^4} ÷ 0.03] × (1+0.03)

200,000 = P × [{1 - [1 ÷ (1.03)]^4} ÷ 0.03] × (1.03)

200,000 = P × [{1 - [1 ÷ 1.12550881]} ÷ 0.03] × (1.03)

200,000 = P × [{1 - 0.888487047915689} ÷ 0.03] × (1.03)

200,000 = P × [0.111512952084311 ÷ 0.03] × (1.03)

200,000 = P × 3.71709840281037 × 1.03

200,000 = P × 3.82861135489468

Rearranging, we have:

P = 200,000 ÷ 3.82861135489468

P =  52,238.26

Therefore, $52,238.26 can be withdrawn a year.

ch4aika [34]

Answer:

Oral Employment Contract

We shall assume that Schwartz Inc. changed its mind some period before the May 2021 Johnny's graduation date.

We can argue that the contract is voidable by Schwartz because it was an oral contract.  The protections accorded a written contract are missing.  And the conditions for voiding the contract are not clearly enumerated as in a written contract.

The contract duration favors Johnny more than Schartz, Inc. because it is for a year and no more.

Therefore, since the employment contract is for a year, it is legally enforceable by Johnny.

Explanation:

But if Schwartz were to void the contract in May 2021 when no opportunity would be given to Johnny to enter into another contract immediately, we could conclude that to void the contract was unconscionable.  Contracts are not voidable with a change of mind, most especially if the other party would suffer some damages as result.  Contracts require legal reasons for voiding them.

zheka24 [161]

Answer:

Yes, it is very much true that making decisions often involve both financial and non-financial factors. There are some situations in life where we have to consider both of them in order to make a valid or correct decision. For example, when we are buying a laptop, we will definitely consider its price and other specifications like, hard drive space, ram, but we will also consider its style, design and color as well not only price. In another case, when we have to choose between three jobs. One job offers $10000 per month in New York city, while other is offering $15000 in London and third one in China offering $18000. I love to live in New York city which is quite near to my hometown as well but it is offering me the less salary as compared to the other 2 options, I have to do a trade-off here. I will go for opting New York's job in $10000, I will not considering money factor here because I will be more comfortable in this city as many of my family members and friends live here, hence, sometimes both financial and non-financial factors matter when we have to make a decision.
