If the net was folded into a cylinder, the length of the rentangle would be the circumference of the circle since it wraps around it.
C = 2pi*r
So 2pi*3 = 6pi
Then multiply by the height to get 84pi

Then the area of a circle is pi*r^2
We have two circles so 2 * pi * 3^2 = 18pi

Add to get 84pi + 18pi = 102pi.

Suppose that the probability of giving birth to a boy and the probability of giving birth to a girl are both 0.5. Find the proba
seropon [69]

Answer:

a.0.0078125

b. 0.1640625

c. 0.0078125

d. 0.0078125

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this question we can use the binomial probability function:

Prob(k\,successes\,in\,n\,trials)=\left(\begin{array}{c}n&k\end{array}\right) p^k q^{(n-k)}\\

where

  • n is the number of trials in this case the number of children
  • k is the number of successes, we can think it as the number of boys
  • p is the probability that is a boy
  • q is the probability that is a girl,

In this case case p=q

Then

(a) Prob(B,B,B,B,B,B,B)=1\times0.5^7

(b) Prob(5\,boys\,in\,7\,children)=\left(\begin{array}{c}7&5\end{array}\right)0.5^7

(c)Prob(G\,last\,and\,6\,boys)=Prob(B)^6Prob(G)=0.5^7

(d) Prob(G\,first\,and\,6\,boys)=Prob(G)Prob(B)^6=0.5^7

(a), (c) and (d) are equal as a result of equal probability of giving birth to a boy or a girl. (b) is different because it takes into account the different orders that births can occur

Please answer this correctly
BlackZzzverrR [31]

Answer:

9.5 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter is equal to

P =2(l+w)

29.6 = 2(5.3+z)

Divide each side by 2

29.6 /2 =2/2(5.3+z)

14.8 = 5.3 +z

Subtract 5.3 from each side

14.8-5.3 = z

9.5 =z

a graduated cylinder is filled to 41.5 ml with water and a piece of granite is placed in the cylinder displacing the level to 47
mixas84 [53]
Because you went from 41.5 to 47.6 when the granite was placed in the graduated cylinder, using displacement:

47.6 - 41.5 = 6.1

I don't know about the cubic centimeters part, I don't know for sure if mL and cubic cm are the same, sorry. :(
