Given=

Rosario drives to an ice skating rink that is 60 miles  round-trip takes 2.75 hours. If he averages 55 miles per hour on his way to the rink

Find out the number of miles per hour he averages on his way home

To Proof =

Total time taken = 2.75 hours

FIRST CASE

Rosario on his way to the rink

Rosario diatance travelled to ice skating rink = 60 miles

average miles per hour on his way to the rink = 55 miles per hour

Let the time taken by the  Rosario on his way to the rink = T(1)

FORMULA

speed = \frac{distance}{time}

Put all the values in the formula

we get

T(1) = \frac{60}{55}

SECOND  CASE

Rosario on his way to the home

Rosario diatance travelled to the home = 60 miles

average miles per hour on his way to the home =  x

Let the time taken by the  Rosario on his way to the home = T(2)

now put all these values in the above formula as mentioned above

T(2) =\frac{60}{x}

thus the equation becomes

Totat time = T(1)+ T (2)

2.75 =\frac{60}{55} + \frac{60}{x}

Now solving the above term

x =\frac{3300}{91.25}

x = 36.16

x = 36.16 (approx)miles per hour

average miles per hour on his way to the home is  36.16 (approx)miles per hour

Hence proved

Answer:

7n - 1

Step-by-step explanation:

notice that the difference between adjacent terms is 7.

so nth term is given by:

nth term = first term + (n-1)×difference (n is any number)

= 6 + (n-1)7

= 6+ 7n -7

= 7n - 1

Find 2 numbers whose LCM is 18, and GCF of 3
kenny6666 [7]

Answer:

18 and 3

Step-by-step explanation:

If the lowest common multiple is 18, that means both numbers must be factors of 18, so each number could be 1,2,3,3,6,9 or 18.

If the greatest common factor is 6, that means both numbers must be divisible by 6, so each number could be 6,12,18,24,30 etc.

The only numbers found in both of these sets are 6 and 18, so there is your answer.

Hope this helps.
