Answer: In order to encourage the tribes to assimilate into outside culture, missionaries and religious leaders helped to start schools to teach English to children. Another leader, Sequoyah, helped his tribe keep its traditions. His written alphabet gave the Cherokee a way to preserve their language. New syllabaries and alphabets helped the tribes write down their traditions, laws, and constitutions. Whether it was motivated by assimilation or traditionalism, literacy helped to change the tribes’ cultures.

How can the tudor period be considered a turning point in british history
il63 [147K]
A lot of famous and infamous monarchs have come from the Tudors.
The Tudor dynasty was a turning point from the beginning because its first monarch, Henry VII, became the monarch at the end of a series of battles now known as the War of the Roses.

Later on, the well-known monarchs Mary I ("Blood y Mary") and Elizabeth I, both members of the Tudor dynasty, came to throne, performing many history-changing actions.
