Answer:

∠XDQ : 41°

∠UXD: 139 °

Step-by-step explanation:

Allow me to rewrite your answer for a better understanding and please have a look at the attached photo.

<em>A segment XD is drawn in rectangle QUAD as shown  below. </em>

<em>What are the measures of ∠XDQ and ∠UXD ? </em>

My answer:

As we can see in the photo, ∠ADX = 49° and ∠ADU =90°

=>  ∠XDQ = ∠ADU - ∠ADX

= 90°  - 49°  = 41°

In the triangle ADX, we can find out the angle of ∠DXA

= 180° - ∠DAX - ∠ADX

= 180° - 90° - 49°

= 41°

=> <em>∠UXD = </em>180° - ∠DXA  (Because UA is a straight line)

=180° - 41°

= 139 °

Which of these is equal to the value of 9 – (–5)?
DerKrebs [107]
14.

Subtracting a negative number is like adding a positive number. So, you can change 9 - (-5) into 9 + 5, which is much simpler. Then, just add to get 14.

What is the value of m?
Dima020 [189]

\huge \underline \mathcal{Answer}

The given angles forms linear pair, and we know the angles forming linear pair are supplementary,

Therefore,

Angle MHJ + Angle MHL = 180°

Let's solve :

  • (5m + 100) \degree + (2 m + 10) \degree = 180 \degree

  • 7m + 110 \degree = 180 \degree

  • 7m = 70 \degree

  • m = 10 \degree

Value of variable m = 10°

Which equations below represent lines that are perpendicular to the line that contains (1, - 2) and (3,4)^ Select all that apply
Nady [450]

Answer:

Select all the lines with slope -\frac{1}{3}.

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the slopes to help you answer this kind of questions.

The slope of the line going through: (1, - 2) and (3,4) is given by:

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

We plug in the coordinates to get:

m=\frac{4--2}{3-1}=\frac{6}{2}=3

All lines that are perpendicular to this line has slope -\frac{1}{3}.
