The correct answer is they saw Germany as the greatest threat.

The Allies agreed to focus on Europe before Asia during World War II because they saw Germany as the greatest threat.

The Allies –basically the United Kingdom and the United States- planned a strategy during World War II that was focused on attacking Germany before Asia. They named the strategy “Germany First”. After Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt conversations on the “Germany First” strategy, both countries focused their war efforts on defeating Germany, that was considered the main threat of the soverignty of England.

The other options of the question were, b) Japan was too strong at the time to fight, c) Japan was showing signs of asking for peace, and d) they had more resources in Europe.

Because the war in Europe was in a lot of Allied countries, for example France. They wanted to focus on the enemies that were at their front door first and posed the most imminent threat over Japan which was on the other side of the globe.

How did England's attempts at coloinies differ from other European powers?
stiv31 [10]

Answer:

THE HISTORY OF COLONIAL NORTH AMERICA centers

primarily around the struggle of England, France, and

Spain to gain control of the continent. Settlers

crossed the Atlantic for different reasons, and their

governments took different approaches to their colonizing efforts. These differences created both advantages and disadvantages that profoundly affected the

New World’s fate. France and Spain, for instance,

were governed by autocratic sovereigns whose rule

was absolute; their colonists went to America as servants of the Crown. The English colonists, on the

other hand, enjoyed far more freedom and were able

to govern themselves as long as they followed English

law and were loyal to the king. In addition, unlike

France and Spain, England encouraged immigration

from other nations, thus boosting its colonial population. By 1763 the English had established dominance

in North America, having defeated France and Spain

in the French and Indian War. However, those

regions that had been colonized by the French or

Spanish would retain national characteristics that

linger to this day.

vredina [299]

Answer:

The correct answer is - to expedite trade by finding and charting alternative methods of transport to Asia.

The Ottomans made a large empire, and they managed to gain control of the trade routes between Europe and Asia, demanding high taxes for both sides if they wanted to use their territory for trade. The Europeans did not fancy this, so they sponsored an expedition, one of many to come so that a new sea route is found for Asia, thus trading through it freely. Columbus was the main explorer of one of those missions. He went westwards with the ships he had at disposal, hoping that he will come to the eastern coast of Asia. He indeed came to some islands, and later a mainland, and all excited about it he called the natives Indians, as he actually thought it is India that he reached. Little did he knew that he actually discovered new continents.
