Answer:

P (6, 3) – p (6, 4) – p (6, 2) = 270

Step-by-step explanation:

The 150 student council consist of 6 members.

Included at least one in-state student and at least one senior.

There are total 6 members: in which,

1 in- state senior,

2 in state non-senior,

1 out of state senior and

2 out of state non-senior.

Total member are 6 and we selected 3. So p (6, 3)

The way team will have only non-senior = p (6, 4)

The way team will have out of state = p (6, 2)

Subtracting the total we get:

P (6, 3) – p (6, 4) – p (6, 2) = 6x5x4 – 6 x 5 x 4 x3 – 6x 5

                                             = 30 x 4 – 30 x 12 – 30

                                             = 120 – 360 – 30

                                             =- 270

Answer:

Step 2: Commutative Property

Step 3: Associative Property

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the Commutative Property of Addition: Two real numbers can be added in either order.

a + b = b + a

Therefore, she used the Commutative Property in Step 2.

In Step 3, she used the Associative Property, in which the grouping of the addends does not change the sum.

Answer:

(g ○ f)(- 3) = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

evaluate f(- 3) then substitute the value obtained into g(x)

  • Distance Formula: d = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Define

Find points from graph.

Point A (-4, 2)

Point B (8, 6)

Step 2: Find distance d

Simply plug in the 2 coordinates into the distance formula to find distance d.

  1. Substitute [DF]:                    d = \sqrt{(8+4)^2+(6-2)^2}
  2. Add/Subtract:                       d = \sqrt{(12)^2+(4)^2}
  3. Exponents:                           d = \sqrt{144+16}
  4. Add:                                      d = \sqrt{160}
  5. Simplify:                                d = 4\sqrt{10}
  6. Evaluate:                              d = 12.6491
  7. Round:                                 d \approx 12.6
