Daniel is rollerblading at 15 miles per hour

Daniel can go 3 miles in 12 minutes so we do 12÷3 to find out how many minutes it takes to go 1 mile which is 4 now we do 60÷4 to get 15

Alternatively we could do 60÷12 to get 5 then do 3×5 to get 15

What is 50,000 times 10 to the 15th
Misha Larkins [42]
Remember property of exponents
(x^m)(x^n)=x^{m+n}
add exponents of same base

ok so

50,000 is 5 times 10^4

so

50000 times 10^15=
5 times 10^4 times 10^15=
5 times 10^{4+15}=
5 times 10^19

Evaluate the expression when r = 8.2 and s = –3.7.
kiruha [24]
When you plug in the numbers for the integers, you get
8.2-2(-3.7)
If you multiply -2 and -3.7, you get 7.4 because the negatives cancel each other out.
If you then add 8.2, you get 15.6. So the answer is D.
Hope it Helps!  :)

the first Indianapolis 500 auto race took place in 1911. the winning car covered the 500 miles in 6.7 hours. what was the winnin
Vesna [10]

Average speed = (distance covered) / (time to cover the distance)

                         =        (500 miles)      /    (6.7 hours)

                         =            (500 / 6.7)  (mile/hour)

                         =                    74.63 miles per hour.

I imagine there were quite a number of pit stops included in that.

This is faster than I expected when I first read your question.
That's really gettin' with it for cars in 1911 !
