Sec  x and cot x are the reciprocals of cos x and tan x  respectively.

So, for example,  cos x = adj / hyp,  so sec x = hyp / adj

The last choice is the correct one  because tan x  = opp / adj  so cot  = adj / opp.

Answer:

sec x° = opposite ÷ adjacent

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, in a right angle triangle,

cot \theta=\frac{B}{P}

Where, B is the adjacent side of \theta

And, P is the opposite side of \theta

Also,

sec\theta =\frac{H}{B}

Where, H is the opposite side of \theta

B is the Adjacent side of \theta

Hence, the correct option is,

sec x° = opposite ÷ adjacent

Answer:

  • 20,000 cm³
  • 54 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

1 m is 100 cm, so the volume is ...

  V = LWH

  V = (100 cm)(50 cm)(4 cm) = 20,000 cm³ . . . volume

__

The mass is ...

  (20,000 cm³)(2.7 g/cm³) = 54,000 g = 54 kg

The mass of the block is 54 kg.
