1. Combine all of the like terms so that you can simplify it, if they are not combined already.
2. Drop all of the constants and coefficients, the constant terms are all of the terms that are not attached to the variable.
3. Put the term in decreasing order of their exponents.
4. Find the power o the largest term.
5. Identify the degree of the polynomial.
6. Know that the degree of a constant is zero.

The highest power of the polynomial function is known as the degree and the number of roots is equal to the degree.

Further explanation:

Explanation:

Degree is defined as the highest power of the polynomial function.

The Fundamental Theorem of Algebra states that the polynomial has n roots if the degree of the polynomial is n.

f\left( x \right) = a{x^n} + b{x^{n - 1}} +  \ldots  + cx + d

The polynomial function has n roots or zeroes.

Consider a polynomial function 4{x^4} + 3{x^2} + x + 5.

The highest power of the polynomial function is 4.

Therefore, the degree of the polynomial function is 4.

Since, the degree of the polynomial function is 4. Therefore, the polynomial has 4 roots.

The highest power of the polynomial function is known as the degree and the number of roots is equal to the degree.

Basic channels = $32.50, each premium channel = $4.95

a) <u>Equation:</u>

  • c = 4.95p + 32.50

b) <u>Table:</u>

  • p = 0 ⇒ c = 32.50
  • p = 1 ⇒ c = 4.95 + 32.50 = 37.45
  • p = 2 ⇒ c = 2*4.95 + 32.50 = 42.40
  • p = 3 ⇒ c = 3*4.95 + 32.50 = 47.35
  • p = 4 ⇒ c = 4*4.95 + 32.50 = 52.30

De acuerdo con la siguiente función f(x)=-3x+8, ¿cuál es el punto de intersección de su grafica con el eje y?
Ket [755]

Answer:

y= -3*0 + 8

Resolviendo:

y= 0 + 8

y= 8

Which recursive formula can be used to represent the sequence 2,6,10,14,18,...??? Help ASAP!!!!!
WINSTONCH [101]

We have the sequence 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, ... Always 4 being added, so we can say:

The first term is 2. The added is 4, so,

a1 = 2

a_n=a_{n-1}+4

Prove:

a_2=a_{2-1}+4 => a_2=a_1+4=>a_2=2+4=6

What is the solution set for the inequality below<br> -3x + 15 &lt; 18
zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

x > -1

Step-by-step explanation:

-3x + 15 < 18

Subtract 15 from each side

-3x + 15-15 < 18-15

-3x < 3

Divide each side by -3, remembering to flip the inequality

-3x/-3 > 3/-3

x > -1
