Here, regrouping is basically carrying.

64+43 shown vertically would be:

  64
+43
-------
 107
4+3 is 7, so seven is in the ones place, but that's not the point.
60+40 is 100, so you regroup by carrying the one to the hundreds place.

Hope I helped!

please help. will give brainliest! review the table of values for function p(x). what is lim (x -14) p(x), if it exists? (table
Lubov Fominskaja [6]

Answer:

DNE

Step-by-step explanation:

The the given table, we have;

As x approaches -14 from the left, at x = -14.001,  p(x) = 1.96

\lim \limits _{x \to -14^{-}} p(x) = 1.96

As x approaches -14 from the right, at x = -13.999, p(x) = 1.97

\lim \limits _{x \to -14^{+}} p(x) = 1.97

The value of p(x) when x = -14 is \lim \limits _{x \to -14} p(x) = Undefined, or is not definable, therefore, p(x) Does Not Exist (DNE) when x = -14, and we have;

\lim \limits _{x \to -14} p(x)  Does Not Exist, DNE.

Assume that male and female births are equally likely and that the birth of any child does not affect the probability of the gen
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Let X be the number of boys in n selected births. Let p be the probability of getting baby boy on selected birth.

Here n=10. Also the male and female births are equally likely it means chance of baby boy or girl is 1/2

P(Boy) = P(girl) =0.5

p =0.5

From given information we have n =10 fixed number of trials, p is probability of success which is constant for each trial . And each trial is independent of each other.

So X follows Binomial distribution with n=10 and p=0.5

The probability function of Binomial distribution for k number of success, x=k is given as

P(X=k) = (10Ck) 0.5^{k} (1-0.5)^{10-k}

We have to find probability of getting 8 boys in n=10 births

P(X=8) = (10C8) 0.5^{8} (1-0.5)^{10-8}

= 45 * 0.0039 * 0.25

P(X = 8) = 0.0438

The probability of getting exactly 8 boys in selected 10 births is 0.044

Explain how you would factor 9x^2 – 49 show your work and use complete sentences. what is this special type of factoring called?
tatuchka [14]
9x² - 49

(3x)² - (7)²

= (3x + 7)(3x - 7)

This type of factoring is called Difference of Two Squares

where x² - y² = (x + y)(x - y)
