When you subtract one square number from another the answer is 5. What are the two square numbers?

1.) First you have to write down your square numbers. Remember to only write the first couple of numbers because as square numbers get bigger the difference between them does.5 is a small number so only write the first couple numbers.

1,4,9,16,25

2.) Then you find the difference between each number.
25 - 16= 9
9 - 4 =5
4 - 1 =3

3.) look at which numbers have the difference of 5 and in this case it will be 9 and 4.
