Your answer is B. 2
This is because to rationalise the denominator, we need to multiply it by (3 - √7), so we get:
(3 + √7)(3 - √7)
3 × 3 = 9
3 × √7 = 3√7
3 × -√7 = -3√7
√7 × -√7 = -7
So all in all you get 9 - 7 which is 2.

I hope this helps!

You are a traffic accident investigator. You have arrived at the scene of an accident. Two trucks of equal mass (3,000 kg each)
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

1) Kinetic energy of the truck 1 is 600,000 joules.

Kinetic energy of the truck 2 is 1,837,500 joules.

2 a)Potential energy of truck 1 is 646,800 Joules.

b) Energy lose by the truck 1 just got converted into heat and sound energy during the collision.

Step-by-step explanation:

Mass of the truck 1 and truck 2,m = 3000 kg

Velocity of the truck 1, v_1 = = 20 m./s

Velocity of the truck 2,v_2 = 35 m./s

1. Kinetic energy of the truck 1:\frac{1}{2}mv_{1}^2=\frac{1}{2}\times 3000 kg\times (20 m/s)^=600,000 joules

Kinetic energy of the truck 2:\frac{1}{2}mv_{2}^2=\frac{1}{2}\times 3000 kg\times (35 m/s)^=1,837,500 joules

2.a) Energy loose by the truck 1:

Initial height of the truck on the hill = 22 m

At that height potential energy will be maximum:

Potential energy of truck 1 at that height = mgh=3000\times 9.8 m/s^2\times 22 m=646,800 Joules

b) Energy lose by the truck 1 just got converted into heat and sound energy during the collision.

Megan and Heidi are making cookies for an upcoming bake sale. Megan is making chocolate chip cookies and Heidi is making sugar c
koban [17]

Answer:

Heidi (260 cookies)

Step-by-step explanation:

Megan's equation is given as y=8x, where x is the number of bags, and y the number of cookies:

#First calculate Heidi's total number of bags, cookies and cookies:

H_b=\sum{bags}\\\\=10+12+14+16\\\\=52 \ bags\\\\H_c=\sum{cookies}\\\\=50+60+70+80\\\\=260 \ cookies

#Given that both Heidi and Megan make the same number of bags of cookies, Megan's cookies totals to:

H_b=M_B=52 \ Bags\\\\M_c=y=8x, x=52\\\\y=8\times 52\\\\=416\\

Hence, Megan makes 416 cookies.

#From our calculations:

416>260\\\\M_c>H_c

Hence, Heidi makes the least number of cookies(260 cookies) compared to Megan's 416 cookies.
