4 dozen is 48 eggs (if you forget the whole bakers dozen thing). If 6 were broken, that is 1/8. To find our percent, we divide.

1/8=0.125

We multiply by 100 to get a percent.

12.5%

Therefore, 12.5% of his money went to waste.

he paid = 4*10 = $40

48 eggs = $40

so, waste money would be 6/48 * 100 = 12.5%
