Answer:

There are three main reasons for European Exploration. Them being for the sake of their economy, religion and glory. They wanted to improve their economy for instance by acquiring more spices, gold, and better and faster trading routes. Also, they really believed in the need to spread their religion, Christianity. The English colonized North America for several different economic reasons. Basically, they found goods that had a market in Europe. The English that settled New England found timber that was great for building ships.  The Spanish support exploration and colonization because their motivations for colonial expansion were trade and the spread of the Christian faith through indigenous conversions. The Spanish explored areas to the north, looking for a Fountain of Youth, and landed on a peninsula on the coast of North America, which he named Florida. Spain's empire was complete and fleets of ships were carrying the plunder back to Spain.

Explanation:

The opportunity to make money was one of the primary motivators for the colonization of the New World. The Virginia Company of London established the Jamestown colony to make a profit for its investors. Europe's period of exploration and colonization was fueled largely by necessity.

Match each word with its definition,
maks197457 [2]

Answer:

Surrealism-  an artistic movement whose works  reflected dreams and imagination.

Abstract-   not clearly defined or not having a  physical shape.

Disillusionment-  a feeling of disenchantment, of having  false beliefs overturned.

Psychoanalysis-  a method of mental therapy designed by  Sigmund Freud.

Relative-  compared to something else.

Explanation:

The given words and their definitions are given as below-

1. Surrealism is an artistic movement, an avant-garde movement that began during the 20th century focusing on the unconscious mind of humans. Like the term "surreal" refers to, this movement especially in the arts and literature deals with the creativity of the unconscious mind.

2. An abstract can refer to a literary piece that contains the main, paraphrased version of the whole. But it also refers to something that is not clearly defined, that gives the basic idea but does not give any particular or specific 'whole' but rather provides a general idea of it. In short, "abstract" means "not clear".

3. Disillusionment is when the result is not as one had expected it to be. This means a feeling of disappointment when something turned out worse than one had expected.

4. Psychoanalysis is a theoretical and therapeutic thinking process developed by Sigmund Freud. This study of the unconscious mind is used to treat mental illness, used as mental therapy.

5. Relative is a word used as a noun and also as an adjective. And as an adjective, it refers to the relation of one thing to another. It is used to make comparisons or formulate the relation of things.
