The philosophies of individualism and secularism were similar during the European Renaissance because d) each philosophy deemphasized the importance of religion. This was because individualism emphasized that the individual could make their own choices (without influence from the government or the church) and secularism emphasized living a life without the church (or the influence of the church).

The United States government is known
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Answer:

The United States could be defined as a “federal constitutional representative democracy.” You might also call it a “federal constitutional republic.”

Constitutional: Our system of government is considered constitutional, because the power exercised by the people and their representatives is bound by the constitution and the broader rule of law.

Federal: Our government is also a federal system, since power is shared between a national government, representing the entire populace, and regional and local governments.

Should voter ballot initiatives be allowed to overturn laws passed by legislative bodies
Nikolay [14]
Personally, i believe it shouldn't, unless the number of votes required is more than half of the total population.
If, a legislation could be chosen by voters ballot, there is simply no need for the legislative branch to exist, because their decision could be easily overrun by the ballots.
The second problem is, voters ballot will be chosen purely by voter's selfish personal desire without having to pay attention what the whole nation needed
