Answer:

The required equation is e=6.50x+0.04y

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that,

The number of hours Mike works = x

The number of total sales he has = y (in dollars)

Now, Mike earns $6.50 per hour.

So, the total amount Mike earns after working 'x' hours = 6.50x dollars.

Also, he earns 4% of the total sales.

Amount earned by Mike from the total sales = 4% of 'y' = 0.04y

Thus, the total earnings of Mike is given by,

Total earnings = Earnings per hour + Earnings through sale

i.e. e=6.50x+0.04y

<h3>The required equation is e=6.50x+0.04y</h3>

Answer:

30°

Step-by-step explanation:

\tan (m\angle H) = \frac{IJ}{JH} \\  \\  \implies \: \tan (m\angle H) = \frac{  \sqrt{10}  }{ \sqrt{30} } \\  \\\implies \: \tan (m\angle H) = \frac{{1}  }{ \sqrt{3} }  \\  \\ \implies \: \tan (m\angle H) =  \tan 30 \degree \\  \\  \implies \: m\angle H =  \boxed{30} \degree

Please explain so I know how to do it

The square root of 2 is irrational. Because 2 is not a perfect square therefore the square root of 2 must be irrational. 1.4 is its approximate to the tenths place. I hope this was helpful

Which would be a good estimate for the tax on $97.95 if the tax is 9.5%?
Ahat [919]
It would be $10. There is a formula to this "madness". Divide $97.95 by 9.5%. Ignore the rest of the numbers. (I'm pretty sure it has like 7 or 8, but I only went up to 3. Just make sure you have have the whole number, $10). Hope this helps.

The equation of the tangent line can be found using slope formula and fact that slope = dy/dx.

\frac{dy}{dx} = \frac{y - y_0}{x - x_0}

where (x0,y0) is point A ---> (0,-1)

Then rearrange equation into slope-intercept form:
y = \frac{dy}{dx}(x - 0) -1

Finally sub in x=0 into dy/dx to get slope at the point (0,-1)

y = 3x -1

3. Tom, Sam and Matt are counting drum beats.
just olya [345]

Answer:

<em>When 60 beats are heard, Tom hits 15 snare drums, Sam hits 6 kettle drums, and Matt hits 5 bass drums.</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

The Least Common Multiple ( LCM )

The LCM of two integers a,b is the smallest positive integer that is evenly divisible by both a and b.

For example:

LCM(20,8)=40

LCM(35,18)=630

Since Tom, Sam, and Matt are counting drum beats at their own frequency, we must find the least common multiple of all their beats frequency.

Find the LCM of 4,10,12. Follow this procedure:

List prime factorization of all the numbers:

4 = 2*2

10 = 2*5

12 = 2*2*3

Multiply all the factors the greatest times they occur:

LCM=2*2*3*5=60

Thus, when 60 beats are heard, Tom hits 15 snare drums, Sam hits 6 kettle drums, and Matt hits 5 bass drums.
