God's covenant with Abraham, according to Israelite belief, was to make Abraham a truly great nation, bless Abraham and his name, and bring hell upon anyone who curses him. He blessed anyone who is linked to Abraham. Any of Abraham's descendants were to be given the land from the River Nile to Euphrates, and this land was to be referred to as the Promised land, or the Land of Israel. Abraham was also to be made the father of nations, and the whole land of Canaan was to be given to them. The sign of this promise to Abraham and his male descendants is known as the brit milah, and refers to the practice of male circumcision in the Jewish religion.

How did actions of union generals grant and sherman affect the outcome of the civil war
tekilochka [14]
Perhaps the greatest contribution of Grant and Sherman (Grant being the leader of the Northern forces) was that they knew when not to fight--that is when to hold back--since the North's army greatly outnumbered that of the South.

How did Westward Expansion contribute to tension between North and South?
Vlad [161]

Explanation:

Development has contributed to financial prosperity and has ignited the obvious fate, and it has also led to sectional conflict over slaves. There were a lot of segregationists in the north whereas the south was predominantly pro-slavery, which created sectional friction since each person needs to see both values spread to the west.
