Enter an equation that can be used to solve this problem, where x represents the number of hours that Roberto had been traveling

. Roberto left his parent's house at 11 A.M. traveling at an average rate of 30 mph. His parents left their house at 12 P.M. traveling at an average rate of 45 mph going the same way as Roberto so that they could catch up to him. After how many hours will it take Roberto's parents to catch up to him? Alja [10]
X+8>= 18
therefore, the circle has to be on ten, (solid) and an arrow pointing to the right,
10+8>=18 which is true.

-7+x>= -8
the circle is going to be on -1, (solid) and pointing to the right.
-7 +-1 (-8) >=-8 which is true, then -7 +0>= -8 which is true
n-2<=4 so, the answer is a dot (solid) on 6 pointing to the left
6-2 (4) <=4 then 5-2 (3) <= 4 which both are true

-18+n<-7
so this answer is going to be on 10, and it will be a hollow dot, pointing to the left
-18+10 (-8) <-7 which is true
n-4>=13
so, this has to be greater than or equal to 13.
n must be greater than or equal to 17 (add 4 to both sides) so the dot (solid) is going to be on 17 and pointing to the right.

NOTICE: I had a different explanation for number 9, which is how I figured each one out.
Hope this helped! Sorry it took so long!

Johanna took $125 to the mall. She bought 5 shirts (s) that cost the same price. Which expression represents the amount of money
svp [43]

Answer:

I think its something like: Money Leftover = 125 - (price of one shirt * 5)

Step-by-step explanation:

just use variables in the place of "price of one shirt" and "Money Leftover".

multiplying the price of one shirt by five since she buys 5 of the same shirt and subtracting that value from her budget will leave you with the amount of money she had left after the purchase.

Find the value of x and y
Romashka [77]

Step-by-step explanation:

\triangle ABC \sim\triangle DEF..(Given)  \\ \therefore \frac{AB}{DE} =\frac{BC}{EF}=\frac{AC}{DF}..(CSST)\\\\\therefore \frac{6}{4} =\frac{7}{x}=\frac{8}{y}\\\\ \therefore \frac{6}{4} =\frac{7}{x} \\ \therefore \: x =  \frac{7 \times 4}{6}  \\  \\\therefore \: x =  \frac{28}{6} =  \frac{14}{3}    \\  \\ \huge \red{ \boxed{ \therefore \: x =  \frac{14}{3} }} \\   \\  \because \: \frac{6}{4} =\frac{8}{y} \\  \\ \therefore \:y =  \frac{4 \times 8}{6}  \\  \\ \therefore \:y =  \frac{32}{6}  \\  \\ \huge \purple{ \boxed{ \therefore \:y =  \frac{16}{3}  }}\\  \\
