3.78
All you need to do is plug in the numbers to your calculater, but since I'm guessing your in grade school, and they don't allow calculaters yet, you would need to understand that when two negatives multiply each other, they become positive, so you can just put
    0.6
 x 6.3
---------
and then just multiply as usual (ignore the decimals for now)
and then you would get 378.
Now, what you would do is because there is too decimal points in the two numbers you are multiplying, you put them into 378, making it 3.78.]

I'm sorry if it was confusing, I hope it helped!

The U.S census bureau reported that 9 out of every 20 joggers at female. On a trail there were 230 joggers on July 4. Approximat
hodyreva [135]

Answer:

Approximately 104 joggers are female

Step-by-step explanation:

The U.S census bureau reported that 9 out of every 20 joggers at female.

Let x be the number of females out of 230 joggers.

Rewrite it as

\begin{array}{cc}\text{Female}&\text{All joggers}\\9&20\\x&230\end{array}

Now we can write a proportion:

\dfrac{9}{x}=\dfrac{20}{230}

Cross multiply:

20x=9\cdot 230\\ \\2x=9\cdot 23\ [\text{Divided by 10}]\\ \\x=\dfrac{9\cdot 23}{2}=\dfrac{207}{2}=103.5\approx 104

Ipatiy [6.2K]

Answer:

6 14/15

Step-by-step explanation:

I would say simplifie the paratensies.

First:

3 2/3+ 17 1/5 =

Common factor of 3 and 5 is 15

3 10/15 + 17 3/15 = 20 13/15

Second:

11 3/5 + 2 1/3 =

Common factor of 3 and 5 is 15

11 9/15 + 2 5/15 = 13 14/15

20 13/15 - 13 14/15 = 7 13/15 - 14/15 = 7 - 1/15 = 6 14/15
