Area of a square with the length of 100cm and a width of 2cm
Rashid [163]

Answer:

200cm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

the formula for working out the area is to multiply the length by the width.

so for this you would multiply 100 by 2 which gives you 200 cm squared

100*2=200cm^{2}

Chance rolls a 1-6 number cube. What is the probabilty that he will roll a prime number
kotykmax [81]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

There are six numbers altogether. 2 3 and 5 are prime. One is odd, but it is not considered prime.

So P(prime) = 3/6 = 1/2

As a percent, this is 1/2 * 100 = 50%

Solve for a and b. please help.
Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

a= 22.5

b= 37.5

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>In</u><u> </u><u>△</u><u>BCD</u><u>:</u>

Applying Pythagoras' Theorem,

a² +30²= b²

a² +900= b² -----(1)

<u>In</u><u> </u><u>△</u><u>ABC</u><u>:</u>

Applying Pythagoras' Theorem,

b² +50²= (40 +a)² -----(2)

Substitute (1) into (2):

a² +900 +50²= 40² +2(40)(a) +a²<em> </em><em> </em><em> </em><em> </em><em> </em><em>(</em><em>expand</em><em> </em><em>bracket</em><em>)</em>

a² +900 +2500= 1600 +80a +a²

a² +3400= a² +80a +1600 <em>(</em><em>simplify</em><em>)</em>

a² +3400 -a² -80a -1600= 0 <em>(</em><em>bring</em><em> </em><em>everything</em><em> </em><em>to</em><em> </em><em>1</em><em> </em><em>side</em><em>)</em>

-80a +1800= 0

80a= 1800 <em>(</em><em>+</em><em>8</em><em>0</em><em> </em><em>on</em><em> </em><em>both</em><em> </em><em>sides</em><em>)</em>

a= 1800 ÷80

a= 22.5

Subst. a= 22.5 into (1):

22.5² +900= b²

b²= 506.25 +900

b²= 1406.25

b= √1406.25 <em>(</em><em>square</em><em> </em><em>root</em><em> </em><em>both</em><em> </em><em>sides</em><em>)</em>

b= 37.5 <em>(</em><em>reject</em><em> </em><em>negative</em><em> </em><em>value</em><em> </em><em>since</em><em> </em><em>b</em><em> </em><em>is</em><em> </em><em>a</em><em> </em><em>length</em><em>)</em>

☆(a +b)²= a² +2ab +b²

How do i find the sin 11pi/2 without using a calculator?
Basile [38]
The values of sin cycle on the domain 0 to 2π
The value of sin(π/2) = 1
The value of sin(2π/2) = 0
The value of sin(3π/2) = sin(π + π/2)= -1
Therefore, if the angle can be written as:
nπ + π/2, where n is any odd number, the value of sin(nπ + π/2) = -1
sin(11π/2) = sin(5π + π/2) = -1
