Find the slope of the line that passes through the points (3,2) and (-2,-2)

Mathematics

The slope of the line can be find as

m = \frac{y1-y2}{x1-x2}

Lets consider first point (x1,y1) as (3,2)

and second point (x2,y2) as (-2,-2)

now by putting the values in the slope equation

m = \frac{2--2}{3--2}

m = \frac{4}{5}

m = 0.8

the slope of the line that passes through the points (3,2) and (-2,-2) is 0.8.

Which trig ratio should you use to find the given side?
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

D. cosine

Step-by-step explanation:

As it can be seen in the figure, the triangle ABC is a right-angled triangle with Angle C = 90 degree.

In a right angle triangle, there is a formula as following:

<em>cosine (of an acute angle) = length of  adjacent side/ length of hypotenuse</em>

In the figure, the point of angle B and length of hypotenuse AB are given.

We have to calculate x - length of the given side. As BC is the adjacent side of angle B

=> we can use the above formula to calculate x

So that we can use cosine

Can someone help me pls!
eduard

This question is about how transformations can affect graphs.

First, we'll want to get rid of that -4 on the function of F.

So we can reflect the function over the y-axis and then compress it by a factor of 4 to make the graph x^2.

Then we can move the graph over to the left 3 because the c value is positive, meaning that we move the graph over to the left.

Finally, we can move the function of by \frac{2}{3} because the d value is positive, meaning that we move the graph up.

Hope this helps.

Which is the distance betweeen parallel lines with the equations y=-1/3x+3 and y=-1/3x-7
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

the distance is 10

Step-by-step explanation:

since the slope is the same you know they're parallel, but just find the difference from the two y intercepts (the +3/-7) the difference is 10, so 10.
