To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:

 1- You have the following information given in the problem above:

 - The jug helds 16 cups of milk.
 - Isaac drank 1 7/8 cups and his brother drank 1 1/2 cups.

 2- Keeping this on mind, you have:

 1 7/8=15/8
 1 1/2=3/2

 =16 cups-15/8 cups-3/2 cups
 =101/8 cups

 The answer is: 101/8 cups

a ABC company stock dropped from 25 3/8 to 22 1/4 during a one month period of time so how much stock fall during this period of
OLEGan [10]
First, let's convert the mixed fraction into an improper fraction (trust me, mixed fraction are pretty much the worst things to deal with, especially with higher level math):
25 \frac{3}{8} =  \frac{203}{8}
22 \frac{1}{4} =  \frac{89}{4}

Then, to subtract, since you need a common denominator, I would multiply the second fraction by 2 to get:
2 (\frac{89}{4} ) =  \frac{178}{8}

Now that we have a common denominator, we are ready to subtract:
\frac{203}{8} -  \frac{178}{8} =  \frac{25}{8}

Since that's the most simplified form, and you have been asked the question in a mixed fraction form, let's convert that to a mixed fraction. The remainder of the numerator divided by the denominator is 1, and the quotient is 3. The denominator stays the same. So, this is what results:
3 \frac{1}{8}

And that's your answer: 3 \frac{1}{8}

Hope this all makes sense. If anything doesn't, feel free to tell me!

irinina [24]

The time taken to ascend from the initial height to the final height; Time taken = 5 minutes

<h3>What is the time taken?</h3>

We are given;

Initial Height = 6000 ft

Final height = 6600 ft/min

Speed = 6600 ft/min

Now, the time taken to ascend from the initial height to the final height;

Time taken = (39000 - 6000)/6600

Time taken = 5 minutes

How many pounds do 13,406,190 pennies weigh?
Mama L [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

13,406,190*4.0=53,624,760 grams

Putting the 53,624,760 grams into grams to pounds calculator you get approximatly 118,222.36 pounds of pennies.

That is a lot of pennies. Also, 13,406,190 pennies is about 134,062 dollars. Pretty insane.
