Answer:

24

Step-by-step explanation:

let W represent the number of wins

and let P represent the number of plays

let T represent profit from each play.

from the question, Marcelo played 3 times, this means 3P can represent the first equation

He won 7 times, 7W can represent the second equation

and T which is  profit is the difference between the number of tokens he won in each game and the number of tokens he spent to play each game.

Therefore, T = 7W - 3P

to get the total profit we will multiply T by the number of games played (in this case, 6)

this means that 6T = (7W - 3P) * 6

Since Marcelo spent and won tokens, the above expression of W and P can be expressed by a single variable. What this means is that, we can make 7W equal 7P or 3P equal 3W since we are dealing in the same item (tokens won and played)

profit per game (T) = 7P - 3P = 4P

total profit (for 6 games) = 4P * 6 =24

Second expression

we can also look at it from this angle;

-3 tokens+7 tokens = profit per game

profit per game for Marcelo = 4 tokens

total number of games = 6

total profit for Marcelo =6*4 = 24

1) A scuba diver dives beneath the surface of the water 34 feet. He swims up 13 feet closer to the surface, then swims back down
Nataliya [291]
1. 0 - 34 + 13 - 5 = -26.....26 ft below the surface

2. y = 15x + 50
    220 = 15x + 50
    220 - 50 = 15x
    170 = 15x
    170/15 = x
    11 1/3 = x......he worked 11 1/3 hrs.......not sure about this...because it does not specify how many visits he made...but if this was just for 1 visit, then he worked 11 1/3 hrs
