1. Find the capacity in litres of a bucket 24cm in
Sav [38]

Answer:

6.36l

Step-by-step explanation:

We compute first the volume:

V=pi×h/3×(R²+r²+rR), where h=20cm is the height, R=24/2=12cm is the top radius, r=16/2=8cm is the bottom radius.

We get: V=pi×20/3(12²+8²+12×8)=

20×pi/3(144+64+96)cm³

V=20×pi/3×304=6363.73cm³

In dm³ we have (divide by 1000) V=6.36dm³

By definition, 1dm³=1l, so the capacity is 6.36l

Notice the picture,
recall your SOH, CAH, TOA
\bf sin(\theta)=\cfrac{opposite}{hypotenuse}
\qquad \qquad
% cosine
cos(\theta)=\cfrac{adjacent}{hypotenuse}

\\ \quad \\
% tangent
tan(\theta)=\cfrac{opposite}{adjacent}

you have,
opposite side, 165
adjacent side, 50
and the angle

that means, we'll need Mrs. tangent
thus
\bf tan(\theta)=\cfrac{opposite}{adjacent}\implies tan(\theta)=\cfrac{165}{50}
\\ \quad \\
tan^{-1}\left[ tan(\theta) \right]=tan^{-1}\left[ \cfrac{165}{50} \right]
\\ \quad \\
\theta=tan^{-1}\left[ \cfrac{165}{50}\right]
\\ \uparrow \\
\textit{angle of elevation}\iff\textit{angle of depression}

I need help understanding “1 more foot every...”
Fed [463]
So the ration is 1 to 5 since it's one foot every 5 seconds. So for every 5 seconds, add 1 foot.
For example: in 45 seconds, it would travel 7 feet.
But in this Scenario, the timer starts after 5 feet so just add 5
Ex. in 45 seconds, it would have traveled 12 feet since we added the 5 feet that we started with to the 7 other feet it traveled.
Idk If this will help very much but I hope it does.
