The correct answer is option letter C (<em>provides intriguing details of your main characters, the conflict, and what prevents them from getting what they want</em>). A <u>verbal snapshot</u> is a brief description of an object, situation, or a character using the narrator’s perception and creative writing. It does not include a whole summary of the text, but a piece of information that will serve the reader to get the meaning of the narration. Verbal snapshots presented in a book cover can also be called <em>snippets</em>, that is, a small piece of information.

The correct answer is letter C.

According to the Cambridge dictionary, a snapshot is a "piece of information or brief description that gives people an understanding of a situation at a particular time." When talking about books, a snapshot is made up of a few lively and enticing lines of a book's storyline. A verbal snapshot of a book is <u>not</u> a summary or a synopsis, it's a sound bite designed to intrigue and spark the interest of the reader in reading the whole story.

alexgriva [62]
I would say Anagnorisis. This means when a character makes a critical discovery, in this case he finds out he was sleeping with his mom and killed his father. It also means a change in what a person stood for. He stood for finding who was the killer, and cursed him, only to find out its him.

Is there word meaning "Laughing at oneself?"
julia-pushkina [17]
There's nothing really that means exactly "laughing at oneself," as far as I know, but some related words are self-ridicule and self-belittlement, though these have a more negative connotation. Hope this helps.
