ohaa [14]

Answer:

Raymond's mistake was on the last step, since he didn't square root both sides

The correct answer should be

c = \sqrt{41}

Step-by-step explanation:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2\\4^2 + 5^2 = c^2\\16 + 25 = c^2\\c^2 = 41\\c = \sqrt{41}

Good luck!

I'm stuck on another question 5 4/5 + (-3 2/7)
anyanavicka [17]

So that would be the same thing as 5 4/5 - 3 2/7

Put them in mixed fractions to become 29/5 - 23/7

Multiply one side by 7 and one side by 5 to get the same denominator

203/35 - 115/35

Now subtract the numerators to get

88/35

Or if they want it inixed numbers then 2 18/35

Corey spent 25% of his savings on a printer at Louie’s Electronics.
KengaRu [80]
Let c represent the original amount that this guy had saved up.

He spent 25% of this amount, or 0.25c, on the printer.

To progress further, we have to know how much the printer cost.

Supposing that the printer cost $100 (which we do not know as a fact), this would be equal to 0.25c.

Thus, his savings originally amounted to c = $100/0.25 = $400.
