They are called the chief cells. These cells are found in the parathyroid gland. they produce PTH and increase Ca2+ levels. These are small round cells with a central nucleus. PTH is antagonist to calcitonin which reduces Ca in body. Parathyroid glands found on the posterior surface of thyroid gland. There is a superior/inferior one. They are made up of chief and oxyphil cells, the chief cells produces the parathyroid hormone while the oxyphil cells no one knows what they do.

Define Locomotion. What are functions of muscle cells?

I love Taytay Swift ❤
Mamont248 [21]

Muscle cells are excitable, meaning they react to stimuli. They may shorten and create a pulling force because they are contractile. Locomotion, facial expressions, posture, and other voluntary motions of the body are all made possible by the contraction of skeletal muscle, which is connected to bones.

Choose all the right answers.
FinnZ [79.3K]

Answer:

go through a metamorphosis

Explanation:

METAMORPHOSIS is the change in the form and often habits of an animal after the embryonic stage during normal development.

For Example: the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly, OR a tadpole into a frog.

Note that the other options given are WRONG because they are characteristics or features of either of them, NOT both.
