America<span> had tried to keep out of </span>World War One.<span> but unrestricted </span>submarine warfare<span>, introduced by the </span>Germans<span> on January 9th, 1917, was the primary issue that caused Woodrow Wilson to ask Congress to declare </span>war<span> on </span>Germany<span> on April 2nd.</span>
Around 16th century’s end, Spain was composed of African slave labor and Indian forced wage labor as they capitalized on these practices like what France and the Netherlands did. Spain’s image of being a exploiting and harsh colonizer was spread by the Black Legend and due to this image, it was used as a justification by different European authorities to try and overcome the predominance of Spain in America.
