Number of pages read by Hannah in 8 minute = 3 pages

Number of pages read by Hannah in a minute = \frac{3}{8} Pages --(1)

If number of pages read by Hannah = p Pages

and , Number of minutes = m Minutes

m Minutes = p Pages

1 Minutes = \frac{p}{m} Pages --------(2)

Equating (1) and (2), we get

\frac{p}{m}=\frac{3}{8}\\\\8 p = 3 m

This is a linear relationship in number of pages read by Hannah and number of minutes Hannah spends reading.

P = 3/8m, In other words, The number of pages she reads is equal to 3/8 times the number of minutes that she is reading for. We divide 3 by 8 to find out how many pages she reads per minute, which we can then times by how many minutes she is reading for to work out the total number of pages she has read. Hope this helps!

Demont made one fourth pound of rock candy. He will separate the candy into four stacks. If he puts an equal amount of candy in ea
kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

1/16

Step-by-step explanation:

Demont made one fourth (\frac{1}{4}) pound of rock candy

He separates the candy into four sacks equally.

This is done by dividing the total fraction of candy of a pound of candy made  by the number of sacks

The fraction of a pound of candy that will be in each sack therefore is:

\frac{1}{4}\div  4= \frac{1}{4}X\frac{1}{4}=\frac{1}{16}

Therefore, One-Sixteenth of a pound of candy will be in each of the sack.
