<em><u>Write the equation that represents this relationship</u></em>

y = -3 \times \frac{xz}{w}

The constant is -3

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that,

y varies jointly as x and z, and inversely as w

Therefore,

y \propto \frac{xz}{w}

y = k \times \frac{xz}{w} ------ eqn\ 1

Where, k is constant of propotionality

y = 3 when x = -2, z = 6, and w = 12

Substitute in eqn 1

3 = k \times \frac{-2 \times 6}{12}\\\\3 = k \times -1\\\\k = -3

Write the equation that represents this relationship

Substitute k = -3 in eqn 1

y = -3 \times \frac{xz}{w}

Thus the equation is found

A quantity b varies jointly with c and d and inversely with eWhen b is 18, c is 4, d is 9, and e is 6What is the constant of var
777dan777 [17]

Answer:

constant of variation = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that b varies jointly with c and d

so:

b∝c∝d

and b varies inversely with e, so

b∝\frac{1}{e}

and i will call the constant of variation k, this way we can make an equation for b in the following form:

b=k\frac{cd}{e}

this satisfy that b varies jointly with c and d (if b increases, c and d also increase) and inversely with e (if b increases, e decreases)

we know that when b is 18, c is 4, d is 9, and e is 6:

b=18\\c=4\\d=9\\e=6

substituting this in our equation for b:

b=k\frac{cd}{e}\\ 18=k\frac{(4)(9)}{6}

and we solve operations and clear for the constant of variation k:

18=k\frac{36}{6}\\ 18=6k\\\frac{18}{6}=k\\ 3=k

the constant of variation is 3.

5/g=n because the denominator is always the total amount and g is the total amount of granola bars in the box. And the 5 comes from the amount of kids that received the bars and the n is on the outside because your looking for that amount. I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense, i tried my best to explain.

A light bulb distributor was given a study from an LED bulb manufacturer showing that LED light bulbs are better for the environment than traditionalbulbs. Is there an incentive for this study to be biased? Why or why not?

<span>Yes, because the LED bulb manufacturer may benefit from the survey results.
</span>
If the light bulb distributor will decide get more stock of LED bulb due to the study given by the LED company, then, the LED company will benefit from it.
