Innate is the term that describes both of these behaviors.

Innate behavior is an inborn behavior that is closely influenced by genes in an organism. It usually occurs naturally and in the same way in all members of the same species anytime they are exposed to the proper stimulus. Innate behavior is not learned or practiced and can be performed without any prior experience. Caring for offspring, abandoning offspring, drooling of a dog when exposed to food and foraging are all innate behaviors.

Did the contour lines change at all? If so, why?
Masteriza [31]

Well, contour lines are used to signify a three-dimensional image of a flat surfaces. They are commonly used on topographic maps. Here contour lines connect continuous points of equal elevation. There is a connection between the change of height and the relative change of distance. If you move from one contour line to another then there is a change of height. The closer the lines are the 'faster' the height changes, and thus the 'steeper' the terrain. The further apart the contour lines are, the greater distance over which height changes, the slope is gentler.

scZoUnD [109]

Answer:

D. After a gene is transcribed, introns are removed from the pre-mRNA to form the mRNA that is translated.

Explanation:

According to this question, a gene was sequenced by scientists from an eukaryotic organism. Brendan claims he can conclude the resulting protein after the transcription and trans of the gene.

It is true that transcription and translation are the processes that a gene undergo in order to be expressed i.e. produce protein. However, a gene sequence contains both the coding and non-coding regions in it. The coding regions code for a protein and are called EXONS in the mRNA while the non-coding regions do not encode proteins and are called INTRONS in the mRNA.

These introns are removed from the mRNA molecule that results from the transcription of a gene. The mRNA undergoes a process called SPLICING, which removes the non-coding part of the mRNA (introns) and joins the coding parts (exons).

Hence, if this occurs, Brendan will not be able to accurately conclude the resulting protein from that gene sequence because a portion of that gene will still be removed during SPLICING of post-transcriptional processing.

photoshop1234 [79]

The identity of the bacterial shape is the following:

a (rod-shaped)- bacillus.

b (spiral-shaped)- spirillum.

c (spherical)- coccus.

<h3>What are bacteria?</h3>

Bacteria are single-celled microorganisms found as free-living or parasites.

They are found in many shapes and sizes.

There are good bacteria that help humans and other animals, and bad bacteria are harmful to the animals.

Thus, the shape of the bacteria area (rod-shaped)- bacillus., b (spiral-shaped)- spirillum., c (spherical)- coccus.
