I attach a voltage source to a 45 mF capacitor until it is fully charged. I then take the voltage source away and discharge the

capacitor through a 120 Ω resistor in a basic RC circuit. If the initial current through the circuit during discharge is 0.5 A, what voltage did I apply to the capacitor to charge it?

Answer:

60 V

Explanation:

Let the potential on capacitor be V . This will be equal to voltage of the source .

During discharge this voltage of capacitor will create current .

V / 120 = .5

V = 60 V

So this would have been the voltage of the source . So voltage of source

= 60 V

Answer:

V=60\;volt\\

Explanation:

Given,

C=45\;mF\\R=120\;\Omega\\i=0.5\;A

By the ohm's law,

V=iR\\V=0.5times120\\V=60\;volt\\

KATRIN_1 [288]
The kinematic equations are used to <span>quantify motion in the case of uniform acceleration.

The other name is : SUVAT equations, where the letters signify:
 displacement (s),
initial velocity (u),
 final velocity (v),
acceleration (a), and
 time (t).

agasfer [191]
The storm is moving toward you at 35km/hr. How long until it travels to 80 kilometers to your house?
Distance = velocity * time
80km = 35 km/hour * x hours  Divide both sides by 35
2.29 hours = x

It will take 2.29 hours to reach your house.

If an object floats, the volume of the displaced water is equal to the volume of the portion of the object that's above the surf
diamong [38]

Answer:

FALSE

Explanation:

When object float in water then it means that weight of the object is counterbalanced by the buoyancy force.

Here as we know that buoyancy force is the weight of water displaced by the object.

So here when object is submerged into the water then the submerged part of the volume of object will displace exactly the same volume of water and that volume of water will exert upwards buoyancy force on the object.

So here this statement is not true as it says that volume of water displaced is volume above the surface of water while it must be like volume of water displaced must be equal to volume of submerged part of the object.
