1) =total seats =32560
give away tickets=4500
amount of each ticket=$9.50 each
to get the remaining ticket you subtract give away tickets from total seats
=32560-4500 =28060
remaining tickets are=28060
so you multiply remaining tickets by the amount they sold each of the tickets
=28060×$9.50 =$266570
so the answer is $266570
2) paperback book is sold for = 25¢ each
hardcover book is sold for=$1.25 each
total number of the paperback book = 54
total number of the hardcover book =163
so you need to multiply paperback book by the amount it sold each and you still do the to hardcover book
=25¢×54=$13.5
=$1.25×163=$203.75
then we add the the total together =
=$203.75+$13.5= $217.25
so the answer is $217.25
3)$14.50 per hour if she works for 35hours
she gains extra $1.5per hour if she works 48 hours
we are going to subtract 35 hours from 48 hours to get the extra time she worked
=48-35= 13
so we multiply 13 by $1.5 =$19.5
so we multiply 14.50by 35= $507.5
so we add = $507.5+$19.5= $527
so the answer is $527
4) airfare is $398.60
her room is $115.70 per night ×2
cab =$40
add up =$398.60+$231.4+$40=$670.00
so the answer is $670.00

I hope this helps you

Find the area of the shape shown below.
hichkok12 [17]

Answer:

26.75 units ^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the shape is complex, divide it into 3 right angled triangles and one square. Find the area of these individual shapes first, then fin the sum of these area to calculate the ultimate area of e complex shape:

Triangle 1 = 1/2 x 2 x 5 = 5 units ^2

Triangle 2 = 1/2 x 2 x 2 = 2 units ^2

Triangle 3 = 1/2 x 3.5 x 9 = 15.75 units ^2

Square = 2 x 2 = 4 units squared.

Now add all these up 15.75 + 2 + 5 + 4 = 26.75 units squared.

Hope this helps

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a club can select one member to attend a conference. All of the club officers want to attend. There are a total of four officers, and their designated positions within the club are President (P), Vice dash President (Upper V )comma Secretary (Upper S )comma nbspand Treasurer (Upper T ).

Sample space would be

a){ {P}, {V}, {S} {T}} is the sample space with notations standing for as given in the question

b) Each sample is equally likely.  Hence we have equal chances for selecting any one out of the four.

If probability of selecting a particular sample of size I is p, the by total probability axiom we have

natima [27]

Complete Question: You are building a shelf that fits in a corner in the figure the entire shelf is XYZ each unit in the coordinate plane represents one inch find the area of the shelf.

Answer:

112.5 units²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the shelf = ½*base*height.

The base is the distance between Z(0, 5) and Y(15, 5)

The height is the distance between X(15, 20) and Y(15, 5).

Therefore area of the shelf = ½*ZY*XY

Use the distance formula to find ZY and XY.

Distance between Z(0, 5) and Y(15, 5):

ZY = \sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2}

Let,

Z(0, 5) = (x_1, y_1)

Y(15, 5) = (x_2, y_2)

ZY = \sqrt{(15 - 0)^2 + (5 - 5)^2}

AB = \sqrt{(15)^2 + (0)^2}

AB = \sqrt{225 + 0} = \sqrt{225}

AB = 15

Distance between X(15, 20) and Y(15, 5):

XY = \sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2}

Let,

X(15, 20) = (x_1, y_1)

Y(15, 5) = (x_2, y_2)

XY = \sqrt{(15 - 15)^2 + (5 - 20)^2}

XY = \sqrt{(0)^2 + (-15)^2}

XY = \sqrt{0 + 225} = \sqrt{225}

XY = 15

Area of shelf = ½*15*15 = ½*225 = 112.5 units²
