Two complementary angles have measures in the ration 1:2. what is the measure of the smaller angle?

Complementary angles add up to 90 degrees. So say that the two angles you have are x and y. If the angles are in a 1:2 ratio, you are basically splitting them up into 3 groups. So splitting the 90 degrees into 3 groups gets 30 degrees into each group. You only care about the smaller angle, which makes up one group, so the smaller angle is 30 degrees.

You deposit $5000 in an account earning 3% interest compounded monthly. How much will you have in the account in five years?
rusak2 [61]

Answer:

$5808.08

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for calculating future value:

FV = P (1 + r/m)^mn

FV = Future value

P = amount deposited = $5000

R = interest rate  = 0.03

N = number of years  = 5

m = number of compounding = 12

5000 x (1 + 0.03/12)^60 = $5,808.08

What is the distance of the line?<br> Remember the distance formula is (23 - 23) + (42 -
vivado [14]

Answer:

<em>The distance of the line is 10.82</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance Between two Points in the Plane

Given two points A(x1,y1) and B(x2,y2), the distance between them is:

d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

The graph clearly shows the points (-5,4) (4,-2), thus the distance is:

d=\sqrt{(4-(-5))^2+(-2-4)^2}=\sqrt{9^2+(-6)^2}

d=\sqrt{81+36}=\sqrt{117}=10.82

The distance of the line is 10.82
