What are the side effects of overclocking?

Computers and Technology

Answer:

Reduced processor lifespan, reduced fan cooler performance over time, bugs.

Explanation:

The reason is that when you overclock your processor you are increasing its base speeds in GHZ. The processor was designed to work at a determined speed, let's say 3.00 ghz. If you increase this speed to 4.00 ghz, it's not just that now it's working faster, it also draws more power from your power supply, and increases the heat that the chip is taking. Processors are designed to endure high temperatures, therefore, you will likely not see any damaged in short term, but your components life span will be severely reduced, also depending on how much you overclock the processor, and the stability of your system, you can see bugs, unexpected restarts, and strange behavior of the computer. As an example, the i5 4670k runs at 3.80 stock speed, it can reach 50 / 65 degrees under full load. If you raise the speed up to 4.5ghz it will reach 70/80 degrees, depending on your ambient temperature and other factors.

If the video cable is connected to a wrong video port, then the computer was unable to work previous night.the integrated video cord has not seated because most times it occurs, due to the heat sink in the card. after restoring the video cable to the video card port, it works.

If the video was disabled in  BIOS/UEFI, it does not show video, even after restoring the cable.

Jeff, a network engineer, is troubleshooting an issue where clients are not receiving IP addresses from a new, properly configur
Free_Kalibri [48]

Answer:

B. Missing helper addresses

Explanation:

The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol serves the purpose of issuing the Internet protocol address mostly to machines sharing the same subnet. When hosted on another subnet, most routers would not allow DHCP to receive broadcast messages and respond to them. A helper address is used to broadcast network traffic outside their own local subnet.

So, the problem Jeff encounters is as a result of missing helper addresses that would have been useful in sending broadcast network traffic outside their subnet, to a DHCP in another server, which would then issue IP addresses to the client.
