During Ahmose I reign, he played a major contribution in the conquest of Lower Egypt and restored Theban rule over the whole of Egypt. The war between the Hyksos and Theban fought since his father reign. He not only conquered Lower Egypt but pushed the Hyksos out of Lower Egypt and opened the mines, quarries along with the trading connection. He also established an administration and started constructing buildings to connect with Upper Egypt, which eventually led to the beginning of the New Kingdom.
