Frederick Douglas described Mrs. Auld in “My Bondage and My Freedom” as an “apt” woman referring that she is capable, quick to learn, he support this adjective given to her with the following description of how she soon demonstrated with her husband advice and his own experience that education and slavery are incompatible.

Douglass describes Mrs Auld as apt, and follows up on this definition by showing how she took her husbands advice and mixed with her own experience made a strong and smart conclusion about slavery and education. This shows that she is smart and capable of doing much.

I think the answer is B. Because there is a period before the sentence: "The cookies were not eaten by the children" choice B contains the misplaced modifier. Unless that was a typo.
