There multiple examples in which a growing power in the lower or middle class was a cause for concern and reform. The two most notable examples where the growing power was a major cause of revolt however, was the American and French Revolution.
The American Revolution has its roots within the French and Indian war (or Seven Year's war), which was a global conflict between France and England. The conflict existed on the frontier of the British colonies in America, and after the British won the war they began to heavily tax the colonists whom they spent resources to protect. By this time, there was already a growing middle class from New England through down to the southern colonies. What was one action that was taken by the First Continental Congress?
iren [92.7K]
They threatened the islands to stop trading with Britain to try to stop the original taxes but it only stopped the imports and exports by a 97% margin. Britain outsmarted them by stopping all shipping to the colonies, which means they failed; because it caused them to have less stocked resources at the start of the Revolutionary War.

In what ways did the reforms of the warren court reflect the social policies of president kennedy and president johnson?
givi [52]
The Warren Court usually made rulings that supported the rights of poor people, minorities, or other disadvantaged groups. Both Kennedy and Johnson tried to improve life in the United States by reducing poverty and promoting gender and racial equality. The Warren Court supported and reflected these policies by aiding the same groups, making the court decisions and social policies work together.
