Answer:

Vermont is the first colony to ban slavery.

Explanation:

Vermont liked to be independent and took the chance to show it was independent on July 2nd of 1777. An abolitionist called to ban slavery, which Vermont responded by abolishing slavery outright first. Not only did Vermont's legislature ban slavery, it allowed full voting rights for African-American males. Later in 1858, November 25th, Vermont decided to take it further and ratify a stronger anti-slavery law to its constitution.

That's on period :)

What steps did Castro take in an effort to stabilize the Cuban economy and end social unrest.
alekssr [168]
In an effort to stabilize the Cuban economic and social unrest, Castro created a one-party government to exercise dictatorial control over all aspects of Cuba's economic, political and cultural life. Every political dissent were suppressed ruthlessly. At the same time, he expanded the country's social services, extending them to all classes of society on an equal basis. This made educational and health services available to Cubans free of charge, and every citizen was guaranteed employment.
