The answer is a) in biogeochemical cycles, nutrients are not synthesized anew but are recycled in the biosphere.

Biogeochemical cycles are pathways by which chemical substances move through biosphere and geosphere (lithosphere), as well as atmosphere and hydrosphere. In these cycles nutrients are recycled, they are not lost. Let's take for example a carbon cycle:

:- Carbon is released into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide from respiration.

- Producers (plants) absorb carbon dioxide and make carbohydrates in photosynthesis.

- Consumers (animals) eat producers and intake carbohydrates.

- After the death of both producers and consumers, decomposers (such as Actinobacteria, or other bacteria or fungi) eat that dead organisms and carbon are released into the environment.

So, carbon is not synthesized anew, but it is recycled.

There is a general tendency for liquids to conduct electricity better than solids due to A) the mobility of particles in a liqui
loris [4]

Answer: A) the mobility of particles in a liquid rather than their fixed positions in a solid.

There is a general tendency for liquids to conduct electricity more than solids due to the mobility of particles in a liquid rather than their fixed positions in a solid.

Explanation:

Substances are classified into solids, liquids and gases based on the freedom movement of their individual particles. In solids the particles are thickly packed which allows them hardly any freedom of movement. But liquid particles have greater freedom of movement than solids particles.

This is the reason for the better conduction of electricity by liquids when compared with solids. Movement of charges from one point to the other is called electricity and when the particles of a conducting medium has greater freedom of movement electricity flow will be easier.
