Nuetrik [128]

All of the following guidelines are important for a healthy fat intake except: Fats should comprise 45% of your daily caloric intake.

 • Adults should consume between 20 and 35 percent of their entire daily calorie intake as fat and not 45%.
 • If one consumes 2,000 calories a day, that equates to 44 to 77 grams of fat.
 • Some types of fats are encouraged because they have positive health effects. Due to the detrimental effects on health, it is advised to consume fewer other forms of fats:
 • Monounsaturated fatty acids: 15% to 20%
 • Polyunsaturated fatty acids: 5-10%
 • Saturated fats: less than 10%
 • Trans fats: 0%

hence, trans fats should be totally cut from the diet, good fats such as olive oil are monosaturated fatty acids and should be consumed more. A little fat i.e., 44-77 grams should be included with each meal to provide satiety.

Sedbober [7]

Administer pain medication and encourage the client to take deep breaths is the action should the nurse take.

How does a chest tube work?

An air or fluid drain from the chest is done using a plastic tube called a chest tube. The lung may collapse if air or fluid (such as blood or pus) builds up in the pleural space, which is located between the lungs and the chest wall.

The main risks associated with chest tube insertion are bleeding and infection, just like with any surgical procedure. During placement, professionals take care to avoid the blood vessels that run along the underside of the ribs. The entire procedure is carried out in a sterile manner to prevent spreading an infection.

a client's holter monitor strip reveals a heart rate with normal conduction but with a rate consistently above 105 beats/minute.
Sedbober [7]

Sinus tachycardia can be the most probable condition which results into high heart rate above 105 beats/minute. This problem is not very serious and is treatable.

What is Sinus tachycardia?

Sinus tachycardia is a type of irregular heartbeat which is characterized by a faster than the normal heart rhythm. The heart's sinus node generates electrical impulses which travels through the heart muscle that causes the heart to beat. A normal sinus rhythm has an average heart rate of the range between 60 and 100 beats/minute.

Treatment is not necessary for sinus tachycardia as it is not a very serious issue. However, if an underlying condition is causing these symptoms, it needs to be treated on time. Treatments for sinus tachycardia include medications such as beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers which can lower the heart rate.
