You can always find the area from breaking it up into smaller shapes. For example, a hexagon is basically 2 trapezoids.
Some formulas for different shapes.
Trapezoid: <span>height × (base1 + base2) / 2
Rectangle: length x width
Parallelogram: height x base
Triangle height x base / 2</span>

Which is the difference of 21 1/4 - 18 2/4? A:2 1/4. B:2 2/4. C:2 3/4. D:3 1/4.
seropon [69]

Answer:

2 3/4 C

Step-by-step explanation:

(21+\frac{1}{4})-(18+\frac{2}{4})\\=21-18+\frac{1}{4} -\frac{2}{4} \\=3-\frac{1}{4} \\=\frac{12-1}{4} \\=\frac{11}{4} \\=2\frac{3}{4} \\or\\21\frac{1}{4} -18\frac{2}{4} \\=\frac{85}{4} -\frac{74}{4} \\=\frac{85-74}{4} \\=\frac{11}{4} \\=2\frac{3}{4}

Explain why the graph of a linear equation in the form of y=c is a horizontal line
xeze [42]
Let's say "c" is a constant, hmmmm any constant, for any value whatsoever of "x", "y" is always that constant, for example, say c = 3, thus y = 3, so a table for it will look like

\bf \begin{array}{ccll}&#10;x&y\\&#10;\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}&\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}\\&#10;-\infty&3\\&#10;-6&3\\&#10;-5&3\\&#10;-4&3\\&#10;-3&3\\&#10;-2&3\\&#10;-1&3\\&#10;0&3\\&#10;1&3\\&#10;2&3\\&#10;3&3\\&#10;4&3\\&#10;5&3\\&#10;6&3\\&#10;+\infty&3&#10;\end{array}

now, if you plot those points, it'd looks like the picture below.
